Keith Bowman is a small-town folk artist with an olde soul, guided by his faith and trust in God. Born and raised in historic Chillicothe, affectionately known as Paper City, Keith’s artwork is deeply rooted in faith, antiques, Americana, and the primitive world.
Keith was introduced to folk art by artist David Harden, known by many as Folk Art by David. After spending many years learning and working alongside David, Keith eventually stepped out on his own to pursue his own creative vision. He later opened Homespun Antiques Company in Historic Downtown Chillicothe, where he combined his love for antiques, early American style, and handcrafted folk art into a place that feels both nostalgic and welcoming.
For more than 20 years, Keith has been involved in the antique and folk art business, building a loyal local following of customers, collectors, and friends who have supported his work through the years. That continued support and encouragement is what motivates him to keep creating. Whether through painting, handmade designs, seasonal artwork, or primitive décor, Keith’s passion for preserving the beauty and simplicity of olde ways of life shines through in every piece.
His artwork often features saltbox houses, willow trees, early American themes, patriotic imagery, and messages of faith, all brought together in a warm primitive folk art style. Choosing different mediums as inspiration strikes, Keith creates from the heart, allowing each piece to reflect his faith, his hometown roots, and his deep appreciation for all things olde.
